Crispy and cheesy homemade breadsticks made with fresh pizza dough, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Ingredients

  • 1 recipe Homemade Pizza Crust
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil (or as needed to coat baking sheet)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan

  1. Preheat the oven: Move the oven rack to the lowest position and preheat to 500°F (260°C).
  2. Prepare the dough: Place a sheet of parchment paper on a cutting board. Place the pizza dough in the center and lightly dust with flour to prevent sticking. Roll the dough into a 14 × 10-inch rectangle, using your hands if needed to shape it evenly.
  3. Prepare the baking sheet: Drizzle olive oil onto a large rimmed baking sheet and spread it evenly with your hands. Carefully transfer the dough onto the prepared sheet and gently pat it back into a 14 × 10-inch rectangle.
  4. Add butter and seasoning: In a small bowl, combine melted butter and minced garlic. Pour over the dough and spread evenly with a knife or the back of a spoon. Sprinkle with ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, salt, shredded mozzarella, and Parmesan. Finish with the remaining Italian seasoning over the top.
  5. Bake: Bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  6. Slice and serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for 1–2 minutes. Use a pizza cutter to slice into 18 strips (6 lengthwise and 3 crosswise).
