FAQs

How long does garlic herb butter last?

Stored in an airtight container or tightly wrapped in the refrigerator, it will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.

Can I freeze garlic herb butter?

Yes. Wrap it tightly and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before using.

Can I use dried herbs instead of fresh?

Yes. Use approximately one-third the amount of dried herbs since they are more concentrated in flavor.

Why should the butter be softened but not melted?

Softened butter blends easily with the herbs while maintaining the proper texture needed to shape and chill.

Can I make this recipe ahead of time?

Absolutely. In fact, preparing it a day in advance allows the flavors to develop even more.
